RE:FRESH

MEMBERS EXHIBITION 2023

16 February - 12 March 2023

Whakaari Te Atamira

Queenstown Art Society is starting this year feeling … refreshed! After a year of transitioning from the old school building in town to the wonderful new community creative space called Te Atamira in Frankton, the society has started its new chapter.

To celebrate this, QAS is holding a members exhibition called ‘RE:FRESH’ in the Manaaki Nui gallery space in Te Atamira, with opening night on Thursday 16 February at 6pm. This is an open invitation to come and see how refreshed they are – new artists, new exhibiting space, new organising force, new ideas, and new energy to engage with community in inspiring and creative ways.

QAS member and exhibition lead, Andrea Cammell, says, ‘I am very inspired by the work we have received for this exhibition as I see so many new people becoming involved with strong creativity across a range of visual and sculptural mediums. It’s exciting to feel this and to be a part of it. Please come along to see it and think about joining our society as we will have some more interesting and stimulating events coming up.’

This exhibition will have a new way of purchasing work as well. Scanning a QR code will mean direct payment can be made and works purchased instantly. The QAS website can be accessed at any time also with all works online and ready to put into a shopping cart and be purchased. This is a streamlined and efficient advantage for any artist member of QAS to sell their work – another reason to join this society that is going from strength to strength.

Where: Te Atamira, Remarkables Park Town Centre, Frankton, Queenstown
