Rachael linton

Dubbed an "acoustic alchemist," Rachael Linton is an abstract painter who explores celestial and natural themes, weaving together harmony and chaos, energy and vibration, radiance and illumination.

From the microcosm to the macrocosm, she explores the invisible threads of the universe, depicting quantum fields as symphonies of harmonic light and pattern. By crafting her works with cymatic vibrations and genuine precious metal leaf, light reflects off the work, illuminating the room with radiant energy. Rachael’s process balances traditional craftsmanship with intuitive painting, allowing a numinous state of cosmic consciousness to enter her work.

In 'Whirr' and other works in the series 'Resonance of the Trees, ' Rachael was inspired by research on the communication of trees and plants. This collection of paintings conveys the language of trees - the energetic connections of the mycelial and mychorizal root systems of trees by using her signature technique, 'cymatics' where she uses bass sound frequencies to ain't geometric sound vibrations onto glass. Reverse painting on glass is an ancient French technique with genuine 24ct gold leaf. In this series, I'm exploring how trees communicate not only through their roots but also through the waves in the air, the wind, the ether, the light, and the energy in the atmosphere.

The patterns of cymatics vibrations lend themselves perfectly to the natural root structures of trees and plants, and I interpret this in my paintings to create a visual language of resonance.
